Skateboarders

We do not recomend you try this at home if you live on a busy street, because if the angle of the driveway is right, you will end up in the road.....or on your face, as you try to turn.
It takes great concentration to roll down a driveway on a skateboard.

This was the new adventure after learning climbing on cars is not such a good idea. Same day, different house, but the same devious mind.

Sorry for the very blurry picture, but I couldn't help but post it for the awsome teamwork going on, oh and the crazy tongue hanging out. As they pursued this wild adventure my parents and I just stood back and laughed the whole time. I am lucky I even got pictures because my battery was so dead the camera yelled at me every picture because it didn't want to use the flash it had no juice left hence the blurry images.

If you look close at their faces, Bridger is having the time of his life and Maclain is trying to save him from sudden injury.

The Story

Ok so the story goes like this......there once was a little boy named Bridger. Bridger and his sister love to play outside. One day they decided to play on the red trailer, and the car that were parked in their backyard. This was just like any other day, because they often played and climbed all over the trailer and car, even though they knew their mom does not like them to climb on daddy's car. Well their mom came out on the deck just to check on them, when all of a sudden Rilynn who was currently standing in the red trailer, burst out in tears crying "Bridger broke daddy's glass." and Bridger quickly replied "It was an accident, I fell, I didn't mean to, I really just tripped and fell, it was an accident I promise." Their mom hurried down to check out the car, and found a large crater in the windshield of the car. The witness was still bawling, I guess from the shock of watching her brother trip and fall. Bridger was not hurt at all in the process, but was very remorseful. He promises never to touch or climb on any parked car ever again. They were both very lucky because their mom was so glad no one was hurt she didn't even yell at them at all. She knew it wouldn't fix anything by getting mad. The next day they all drove together to take daddy's car to get fixed. And today, Bridger and Rilynn were so excited to see the fixed car it was like magic that it was fixed, too bad it was expensive magic. The moral of this story is ... don't try climbing and sliding down on cars because your bum might put a crater in the windshield, and best of all..... we all make mistakes and have ACCIDENTS and it is wonderful to learn that they are fixable. Bridger and Rilynn also learned that even when they make mistakes their parents still love them. From hearing the story we are still unclear as to how it was Bridger's bum that broke the window, but we are super glad it wasn't his head.

Little Girl and April Snow

Two weeks ago I finally gave in and got Rilynn earrings. She has asked for them for so long now, and everytime she asked I would tell her how they take a gun and shot it in her ear and it hurts. Do you still want earrings? Never fail she would say yes. So when she got them done she picked rainbow flower earrings. She cried for about 30 seconds told me it hurt and she has loved them ever since. I thought it would be a big deal and they would bother her and she would play with them all the time and that it would be a hassle, but she loves them, and she doesn't touch them, and they haven't bothered her at all. So I guess she knew what she wanted all along. I took this piture to try and show her ear, but it is such a strange angle her eyes take center stage.
Rilynn's favorite part of dress up are the shoes, she always poses like this so you can see the shoes.

WHO DO YOU THINK TAUGHT HER THIS?
Yes she is only two and climbing a fence. The first time I saw her I was the frightened parent, hoping she wouldn't fall before I got to her. Then as she continued to do it over and over I just had to get a picture. What she does is she climbs up and over the top of our 4 1/2 ft fence in the garden, and each time she does it she has thrown her car over the fence and is chasing it.This is a picture of the beautiful big fluffy snow flakes we got on April 15th, and my sad flowers.

This a cuter picture of Rilynn showing off her new earrings.

Smith Family Photo

All of the Smith family, minus one brother got together for a fun family day. It is not often that everyone is able to get together. It was a lot of fun. We had an egg hunt, a pizza picnic, and a family photo. We were going to go to a park but the weather was questionable, and we decided not to take the time to get all 22 of us to the park. So we settled for a photo in the backyard. No picture can be expected to come out perfect, especially when 11 of them are children. I have to say with those odds against us the photo turned out excellent.

Easter Egg Hunt

Last Sat. we had a Smith family Easter egg hunt. There were 11 kids ages 1-6 running around our backyard looking for eggs. They all had a lot of fun.
Race for the eggs.
This is Alex taking a video of the egg hunt. On the video he even has Oscar our cat out wandering with the kids.

Rilynn and Ally show off thier collection of eggs.

Bridger was so excited to find all the prizes inside the eggs.

Soccer

Maclain had his first soccer game today, he loves soccer so much. Bridger on the other hand has been so sad that he is too young to play, but this fall he can play!
Maclain is the blue #5, the one in the black hat. I cut his hair today so he told me his head was going to be cold.

First I took a picture of Rilynn in this chair because she was being so cute. Then the boys had to fight over the chair and insisted they had a picture too. So they each gave me a pose complete with the cheesey fake grin.
