Last night we went to get wood up the canyon. Mountains in the fall are one of my favorite things. Last year at this time we had Isaac and his family visiting and they went with us last year to this same place. While we were there last night Isaac happened to call from Afghanistan. After to talking to him about how the weather and senery were almost identical to last year, it made me stop and think about how things in our lives change and how sometimes things are the same. It often is amazing to me how the hand of the Lord is sometimes very strong and changing and sometimes very subtle with no less power. Anyway even the kids helped out. Maclain and Bridger had fun picking up and stacking the wood in the trailer. But the best part for all of them was climbing on the giant pile of trees. It makes me happy that my kids love being outside doing whatever it is we might be doing.

Bear Lake
Top Of Utah
We were parked right by the Logan Temple and even with the temple gate in the way I loved this picture. The boys were fighting over dads metal, so Phillip lent his to Bridger.

SPLASH!
Grasshopper
We went camping and Bridger found a grasshopper, and loved it and played with it. He put on Alex's back while Alex was sleeping and I thought it was too cute the way all the kids watched this grasshopper. The sad part is after being the center of attention and being poked, squished and mawled I believe this grasshopper hopped away to die.
"Hummy Birds"
This is our Hummingbird Ruffus. He hangs out in our garden every day, and chases all the other humming birds away. We first got a feeder after a hummingbird got stuck in our garage. We got a feeder to try and lure him out, but when we got home from the store he flew out. So we hung up the feeder in our backyard and now we have Ruffus. Whenever Rilynn is outside she spots "Hummy Birds" so we all call them that now. The kids have fun with it, they really think he his our pet, and they help me change his food. One morning Alex left the garage open and a humming bird flew in and I closed the garage not knowing it was in there. Latter Bridger and I went in the garage and heard the humming bird flying around and opened the garage so it could go out, but it wouldn't. When Alex got home he chased it around with a bat wearing the poor bird out till it purched on one of our garage shelves. We had to go so we put the feeder by it and left. When we got home we had an over stuffed drunk Hummingbird. It was so dosile Alex was able to gently grab it and take it to the back yard. We are guessing it was Ruffus since we didn't see him for a few days, but thankfully he is back to chasing other birds away. Soon he will be migrating but we hope he comes back.

I don't know what she was thinking but she said "yes" on 6 june 2000 and that is how things were kicked off. The last eight years have been a whirlwind of activites and events.
Now that we have this blog started, we will try to recount our life's adventures. I hope that Brydie does most of it because I will bore you in about 2 maybe 3 seconds.
