2010 - The year of the missing candles...and camera.
The ghost of birthdays past wanted to take you back in time. To remember how fun each passing year can be. I love you and hope you have a great Birthday!

Happy Birthday Boys!

Once upon a time a LONG time ago....two very special baby boys were born.....they know the rest of the story. HAPPY BIRTHDAY BOYS!!

Misc Pictures

We went on a field trip to Fort Donaldson. It is a cool civil war site.
A squirrel living in our backyard decided to be our friend for the day. It was playful and friendly. It's first friend was Oscar, and then Alex picked it up. It was still a baby and I don't think it had learned to be afraid of us yet.

Our movie star in training, she is hoping for Nemo 2; actually she just likes to take her siblings things, and run.

Mischief Makers

Grass

We planted grass seed because our yard was dirt with a few patches of grass, and I promised someone I would post pictures for them to see. This is Gunner, he followed me around to assist in the picture taking. Actually he helps me move the sprinklers around the yard.
The grass is still very young and thin, but I think it will thicken up nice. I hope anyway.
This is one spot that is still struggling, but there is a faint hew of green so I am very hopeful.
Gunner laying in the leaves waiting for me to be finished taking pictures.

Fall

This bug posed for me....then the dog chased it off the brick. We have the most beautiful trees in our yard. This year the colors are showing up slower and lasting longer then last year. This picture is from our front porch. I love the contrasting colors.
I fell in love with the way the sunlight was dancing through these leaves. The picture simply does not do it justice. I love the fall. The colors, crunching leaves, and crisp air are so refreshing.
What a wonderful time of year.

Service Project

The boys helped with a service project, painting a chain link fence. The paint in their hair had to grow out, and their clothes were trashed. They had fun and the fence got painted.
